Mario Montenegro began his career as a Professional
Ballet Dancer at very young age and reached the rank
of Principal Soloist with The Lima Municipal Ballet
Theatre of Peru appearing in Swan Lake, Giselle,
Coppelia, Carmen, Raymonda, Paquita, Nutcracker and
all the classics. He trained with ballet masters
from Cuba, Argentina, France, Russia, Peru and US.
He was a Class guest dancer with the National Ballet
of La Havana of Cuba, Royal Winnipeg Ballet of
Canada, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Ballet Hispanico,
Miami City Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, American Ballet
Theatre and others. He was granted full scholarship
and special guest dancer with The Washington Ballet
for three years under Artistic Director/Founder Miss
Mary Day; He also performs for The Washington Opera
at The Kennedy Center. Appearances include
performances with The National Ballet of Maryland,
The Central Maryland School of Ballet, The Maryland
Ballet Theatre School of the Arts, The Haddad Youth
Ballet, The Spanish Dance Society at Mount Vernon
College and The Baltimore Museum of Art, The
Hispanic Heritage Awards, American University Dance
Concert, Joy of Motion Dance Center, Zarzuela Di Si
and others. Mario was also feature in a romantic
comedy “Weed of Deceit” with 48 Hour Film Project.
Mario Montenegro also enhanced his Business
Administration career as a General Manager and Buyer
of PC Inc. Retail Stores in Georgetown and DuPont
Circle, Banking experience with Adams and Riggs
Bank, Payroll with Paychex and Top Coordinator with
Splash Spa at The Sports Club LA at the Ritz Carlton
in Washington DC.
